SOFTWARE SALES REPRESENTATIVE

The Software Sales Representative will be responsible for all sales activities including, but not limited to, generating leads, following up on opportunities, and closing sales for VIA software products.

Responsibilities: 

• Qualify incoming requests.
• Conduct thorough product demonstrations.
• Close sales to meet or exceed outlined quotas.
• Communicate with veterinary practices on their software needs.
• Represent the company and the products at trade shows.
• Provide support for potential customers including opportunity evaluation, quoting, order review and acceptance.
• Participate in developing strategies with the Sales and Marketing teams.
• Some travel required.
• Some weekend work required.

Qualifications:

• College degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in software sales.
• Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred:

• Proven track record in selling medical, dental, or veterinary practice management software or related applications.
• Background in the veterinary industry.

.NET SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Location:  Frisco, Texas

Eklin Information Systems, the developer of a veterinary practice information management system (VIA), offers a turn-key practice management solution for veterinarians. VIA is a comprehensive application that does everything from accounting and invoicing, to paperless medical records, medical imaging, and electronic laboratory integration. VIA is currently based on a three tier architecture and utilizes an innovative inductive user interface.

Job Description:

The .NET Developer will assist in extending and maintaining the existing VIA code base for the business logic and data access layers. This will consist of writing and maintaining stored procedures for SQL Server and developing and maintaining the C# code for the business logic layer.

Additional responsibilities:

• Work with other developers and participate in the design process.
• Develop reports using Crystal Reports and SSRS.
• Create documentation of the BLL to assist UI developers.
• Work with end users to improve the VIA program.

Qualifications:

• .NET experience.
• BS in CIS, CE, CS, BIS, Engineering or equivalent field.
• Must possess good communication skills.

Preferred:

• C# or VB.NET experience.
• Experience developing vertical market, multi tier business applications written in .NET.
• Experience building business applications using the CSLA or similar framework.
• .NET 2 experience.
• Extensive knowledge of SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Windows NT, 2000, and 2003 domain networks. 
• Experience using COM interop.
• Experience developing applications in the health care industry.

IT SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Location:  Frisco, Texas

Eklin Information Systems, the developer of a veterinary practice information management system (VIA), offers a turn-key solution for veterinarians. This means that we provide a hardware solution as well as a software solution for veterinary practice management. As such, we are responsible for insuring that our clients’ networks are correctly installed and supported. Our client networks range from 2-50 workstations. Eklin also offers an offsite automated backup solution (VIA Safe).

Job Description:

The IT Systems Engineer will oversee the system architecture to be used at client sites and maintain Eklin’s in-house computer network. The individual will also be responsible for designing and maintaining Eklin’s datacenter for VIA Safe. In addition, the individual will provide level 3 technical phone support related to networking and hardware issues.

Additional responsibilities:

• Maintain and further develop the Eklin in-house automated network configuration system. The system is used to configure clients’ computer networks automatically with very little user intervention.
• Create documentation about system architecture for other IT staff to refer to when setting up new client networks.
• Create documentation to assist Eklin phone support in diagnosing and troubleshooting client issues involving networking, printing, and WAN connectivity issues.
• Occasionally assist support staff with support issues outside of normal business hours.
• Develop automated processes to monitor remote client network health, and develop a procedure to proactively address any client network issues.
